Buttery
Pan Rolls

This recipe came from an exchange
list that I belong to. This is without
a doubt, the best dinner roll recipe
I have ever made!!!

1/4 c water
1/4 c cold milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg -- beaten
8 tbsp butter or margarine,
melted and cooled -- divided
2 c all-purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp active dry yeast

1. Measure carefully, placing all
ingredients except 5 tablespoons melted
butter in bread machine pan in order
specified by owner's manual. Program dough
cycle setting; press start.
2. Pour half of the remaining melted
butter into 8-inch square baking pan. Tilt
pan to completely coat bottom with butter.
Drop batter by rounded tablespoonfuls into
pan, making 16 rolls. Drizzle remaining
melted butter over rolls. Cover loosely
with plastic wrap and let rise in warm place
30 to 40 minutes or until almost doubled.
3. Preheat oven to 400°F. Uncover rolls and
bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden. Cool
slightly in pan on wire rack.

***NOTE***
Instead of dropping by spoonfuls, I cut
the into 16 equal pieces.
